Ottavio Banti
Ottavio Banti was born in Pisa in 1924 and has been a reader in medieval and modern history in the Humanities faculty of the University of Pisa (1963-1972). Thereafter becoming an independent lecturer in medieval history (1964-1965), teaching Paleography and Diplomacy (1965-1972), from 1972 he became a reader in these subjects.
He is a member of the Società Storica Pisana, the Accademia Lucchese di Scienze Lettere ed Arti and the Accademia dei Sepolti in Volterra.
